Yolanda Centeno

Jerez de la Frontera, 1986.

Since she began playing around with the handle of her orange plastic toy called CineExin as a child, she knew that the magic of telling stories projected on a screen was for her.
For that reason, and despite not finding any direct flights between Jerez de la Frontera and New York, she thought that crossing the pond was the least she could do in order to follow her dreams.

A three-year Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, done between New York and Los Angeles, laid foundations as solid as Manhattan’s skyscrapers.

During his time in the United States, she has written and directed multiple short films, selected and awarded in more than 400 festivals around the world. Back in Spain, she decided to take his passion of telling stories to the advertising industry, winning with his first job as a director, two awards at the Festival del Sol.

If you ask her for her favorite movie, she will tell you “When Harry found Sally.” We are very fortunate at Harry to have found her acute ascetic sensibility, her contribution to narrative as screenwriter and her talent to work with actors.

She would not take anything to a deserted island, because she does not like solitude and enjoys working as a team. And having to choose a book, she will choose the Little Prince and one of his phrases: “walking on a straight line can not get you very far”. We love how she likes to think things over, especially if she stretches the stories further on.
